OSA’s 54th anniversary celebration centers on empowering OSA personnel
14 June 2014 | EVYDy and SBPosadas |
OSA has a significant role in every student's life. It is for this reason that the OSA personnel as a whole devote their time and effort in the service of the students. In June 2014, OSA celebrated its 54th year in rendering service to the students. This year's theme Empowered OSA Personnel: Torchbearers for Better Services give emphasis on uplifting the spirit and moral of the personnel, empowering them by developing their talents and skills, and inspiring them by giving recognition to their individuality and capabilities.
The week-long OSA anniversary celebration happened on June 9-13, 2014. The following activities were conducted by OSA: thanksgiving service, ribbon-cutting of the OSA exhibit, seminar-workshop on cooking, sports fest, and talent-sharing and discovery.
The celebration culminated with a Recognition Program. Pride awards were given to Chancellor Rex Victor O. Cruz and to Dr. Oscar Zamora who served as beacons of inspiration; OSA's Torchbearer award was given to Dr. Leticia E. Afuang; Appreciation awards were given to Dr. Ronnie Domingo, Mr. Miguel Abriol-Santos, and to the different colleges; OSA Pillar awards were given to Ms. Zenaida Loberiza, Ms. Janett Dolor, and Dr. Erick Vernon Dy; Kaagapay awards were given to establishments and individuals in recognition of their support in the implementation of the various extension programs of the Counseling and Testing Division. OSA special awards were also given to the personnel in recognition of their valuable roles as employees in OSA.
