Frequently Asked Questions

1. What’s the first thing that I need to do if I want to schedule a tutoring session?

a. Login to your OSAM account and select “PEER Tutor” under the tab “Student Services”.

2. What are things that I have to be mindful of when booking a tutoring session? (time difference between the schedule and booking, topics, etc.)

a. Always book at least 24 hours before your scheduled session.

b. Make sure to always indicate the subject and specific topic/lesson you want the tutor to focus on.

c. Walk-ins shall not be accommodated.

3. What should I do if my proposed date and time of the tutoring session are rescheduled?

a. You will receive an email notification if your session has been rescheduled. Kindly refer to your OSAM account for the complete details of your rescheduled session.

4. What should I expect after a successful booking of a session?

a. You will receive an email notification if your session has been successfully booked. This will also be reflected in your OSAM account.

5. What should I do after my tutoring session?

a. After the tutorial session, you are required to answer the feedback form. You will not be able to book another session of you failed to answer the evaluation form for a previous session.

6. How many bookings can I schedule simultaneously?

a. You can book a maximum of three (3) sessions at a time across different clusters.

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Management (OSAM) System is a modernization project of OVCSA. OSAM is an advanced web application with web and mobile components to eradicate the need for students queuing up for services. OVCSA is taking advantage of the benefits of Information Technology to promote students’ academic growth and personal development.
